A.There is no maximum amount, though the JDA only has a set amount of funding throughout the year.Additionally, there may be match requirements that may limit the amount of grant funds you are eligible to receive.

A.Previously receiving a Community Grant will affect your project’s score, however it does not disqualify you from receiving another grant. To learn more about project scoring and ranking, see page 12 of the Program Guidelines.

A. While the Community Grant Program is focused on nonprofit, government, or public organizations, it is still possible for some for-profit agencies to receive a grant (e.g. a for-profit daycare could be eligible because it fulfills a community need).

A. Funds are paid out via a reimbursement process. Grant recipients must provide documentation that outlines the work completed or items purchased, along with proof of payment (e.g. receipts, invoices, canceled checks, etc.). Reimbursement requests are submitted with this form. Once submitted, staff review and process. This can take up to two weeks. In certain instances, projects can request an advancement of funds.

A. Applications are only accepted for projects that have not started. Grant funds will not be awarded to a completed project.

A. Upon submission of a grant application, the project must be ready to begin in 3 months or less and must generally be completed within 12 months, unless an extension is approved. Determining factors will include the amount of funds available and the length of the extension requested.

• Detailed Project Budget which would include estimates/quotes/listings for all aspects of the project (should equal the amount of funding being requested)
